YSBs Hold First Regional Coordination Meeting

The Youth Sounding Boards (YSBs) of Central Asia convened their first Regional Coordination Meeting on 31 October – 2 November 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The meeting brought together 63 YSB members from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, alongside representatives of EU Delegations, UN partners, and Global Gateway implementing organisations.

The three-day event marked a significant step in operationalising the youth engagement pillar of the EU Civil Society Facility, enabling YSBs to work as a regional advisory mechanism. Participants co-developed National Action Plans for 2025–2027, identified shared regional priorities, and took part in strategic foresight exercises focused on envisioning Central Asia in 2030.

The meeting also strengthened coordination between YSBs and EU Delegations, laying the groundwork for more structured youth input into policy dialogue and programming processes across the region. Outcomes and recommendations from the meeting will contribute to the youth segment of the 6th EU–Central Asia Civil Society Forum.

Further updates will be shared as the YSBs advance their regional agenda and capacity-development activities.
